Keeping calm and keeping the wheels turning
In the midst of the COVID-19 turmoil, we try to do “business as usual,“ and we stay positive about the economy by concentrating on the value we bring onto the market. We do our part and we do it responsibly.
Read more about what we do to keep ourselves and everyone we meet safe, and what new activities have come to fruition at Eryk after weeks and months of preparation.

Our employees, our customers and our business partners are our priority – their health and safety are of primary concern to us, and in accordance with the recommendations from world health authorities and governments, we have taken the necessary measures to curb the risk of virus spread.
We have switched to online meetings whenever possible. We have instructed all our employees about the everyday countermeasures that they must implement wherever they are, and we continue to remind everyone about the responsible behaviour. We have accelerated digitalization of our processes to assist “social distancing.” We follow the government’s guidelines and regulations. On coming back home from abroad, our technicians undergo a 14-day quarantine. We remain positive and keep track of all developments.

Eryk’s logo on DI building "Industriens Hus."
Our rebranding to Eryk was not only a name change, but also a new logo. This needed updating on Industriens Hus – the main office of the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI). In big, white letters, Eryk joined such brands as Maersk, Danfoss, Grundfos and Coloplast on the facade of the DI building. Right in the centre of the vibrant and bustling Copenhagen, the DI has prominent neighbours, like the Copenhagen City Hall and Tivoli, and with our new logo on it, we are once again in good company on one of the world’s most demanding labour markets – Denmark.
For Eryk and all the other DI members, active participation in the policy advocacy, national and international networking, and legal compliance are cornerstones of the business. To read more and see pictures, click here.

Sapcorda and Eryk – synergy for the future
Sapcorda Services GmbH of Hannover, Germany, is a front runner company delivering GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) services which correct and augment the positioning data. These allow for much higher levels of accuracy of positioning, which opens doors for safer and more reliable movement of autonomous cars, buses, drones and other positioning-critical devices. We have recently started cooperation and already received positive feedback after the pilot project.
Volker Mell, Sapcorda’s Infrastructure Asset Manager says:
Being a pioneer of the new type of GNSS services we need to be ahead of the market and deliver reliable solutions. We are happy to conclude that the cooperation with Eryk (until recently BIC Electric) is one like that – it simply works.

Eryk's new home - Posejdon - nZEB (Nearly-Zero-Energy-Building)
In mid-March we moved our shared services centre in Szczecin from the Baltic Business Park to the very centre of the city - Posejdon building that also hosts two hotels and a number of other companies. Posejdon has been constructed according to high standards for sustainability and is the largest project of its type in Poland. During the construction, the CO2 emissions were 76% lower compared to similar buildings built with traditional technology and this fact was significant from our CSR perspective. Also, operation-wise, the building will leave a reduced carbon footprint.
Our new address: Brama Portowa 1, 70-225 Szczecin, Poland
